NCAA Playoffs

The college football playoff scene is set. After a weekend of Conference Championship games, some teams now know they will move on towards the quest for the right to be called Number One.

The weekend battle kicked off on Friday with the Pac-12 game between No. 11 USC and No. 21 Stanford. USC came away with a 31 – 28 victory.  Saturday was a busy day as the rest of the pack got underway. The SEC Championship game was a rematch between No. 6 Auburn, fresh off of a big win over Alabama,  and No. 7 Georgia in Atlanta. Georgia beat Auburn 28 to seven. The Big 12 game No. 4 Oklahoma trounced No. 12 TCU  41 to 17 in Arlington Texas. And in Indianapolis the Big 10 put up No. 5, and undefeated, Wisconsin against the No. 9  Ohio State Buckeyes. The Badgers lost their first game with a final score of  27-21 Ohio State. And the No. 1 Clemson Tigers easily handled the Miami Hurricanes with a 38-3 victory.

Next up are the seemingly never ending bowl games and the playoffs wrapping up with the National Championship Game in Atlanta on January 8, 2018.
