Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle

Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle

In April 1981, the book Jumanji, a fantasy children’s picture book, by Chris Van Allsburg was published. Fourteen years later, the book was made into a movie under the same name. Jumanji starred Robin Williams and was a very successful movie earning $263 million worldwide.

On December 20, 2017, Jumanji:Welcome to the Jungle was released. This movie starred Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, and Nick Jonas. It has made 533.4 million worldwide. The movie has been very successful and has gotten many good reviews from critics including one from Screen Rant that said it was “intended more for youngsters than nostalgic adults”.

In my opinion Jumanji:Welcome to the Jungle was a very good movie that was well casted. The actors made the movie even more fun and entertaining. This movie wasn’t a remake of the 1995 Jumanji and I’m glad because it would not have compared. This film is more  of a sequel or a completely new adventure. I highly recommend this movie though as a movie that everybody in the family would enjoy.
