Football Rams Ready for New Season

Coach Matt Neissl had this to say about what a successful season would be to him,

“I believe that we will have a good season. Some people believe that is in wins and losses, but it is more than that.  I have to look at the big picture. I want to see how the team has grown. I want to see if the players have developed the way they should according to our schemes on offense and defense. I also look at the future as well. I want our guys to be ready to go the next level and to get a chance to play as soon as possible.”

Neissl talked about the number of players and the amount of talent in the program,

“Between 7th-9th teams, we have around 100 plus athletes in our program. Ramsey will be successful this year if we don’t have mental mistakes. We have some talented players who will have success.  They must come in every day wanting to get better as athletes. They are in control of their attitudes and efforts.”

    Coach Neissl said,

“We don’t really have captains.  We have some leaders that were selected at the end of last year that was chosen by their teammates.  I look to those guys to lead by example or I go to them to make sure that they pushing themselves and their teammates daily.”

Ramsey is 1-1 going into their third game against Kimmons Thursday, September 13.  The rest of the season is only eight games against Greenwood, Van Buren, Harrison, Kimmons, and playing Chaffin and Darby again. Come cheer and dress up to support the rams. GO RAMS!
