Burt Reynolds was born on February 11, 1938, and sadly passed away on September 6. Reynolds went into cardiac arrest after having a heart attack. His death was totally unexpected; his niece said,

“ My uncle was not just a movie icon; he was a generous, passionate and sensitive man who was dedicated to his family, friends, fans and acting students.. He has had health issues, however, this was totally unexpected. He was tough. Anyone who breaks their tailbone on a river and finishes the movie is tough. And that’s who he was.”

Reynolds was married twice. He was married to first wife, Judy Carne,  from 1963- 1965. His second wife, actress Loni Anderson, was married to him from 1988-1993. Reynolds and Anderson had a son named Quinton Anderson Reynolds born August 31, 1988.

Burt Reynolds had a quintuple bypass in February 2010. Reynolds had a drug addiction to painkillers at that time; he was 74 years old. He checked into a rehab center where he said he was going,

“ to regain control of his life.”

After a successful college football career with the Florida Gators, Reynolds became a well-known actor. He played in at least 64 movies throughout his career. His most notable movies include The Longest Yard,, Smokey and the Bandit,  and The Dukes of Hazzard.
