The month of December brings about a holiday season of sound with 11 free concerts in Fort Smith at the Mercy Hospital campus, which is made possible with the partnership between the Fort Smith Symphony and Mercy!

 

    The concert series begins Monday as the second annual “Sacred Sounds at Mercy” kicks off about 10 a.m., which will last about an hour to an hour and a half.  The performances are scheduled to be in the Mercy Medical Building’s main entrance on Monday and Wednesdays, which is off of Rogers Avenue. The performances on Tuesday and Thursday will be at 6801 Rogers Avenue, which is the Mercy Tower West, according to the release made by Mercy news.

 

The schedule is as follows:

 

Monday, Dec. 17 – O’ Holy Night: Karen Jeter, violin.
Wednesday, Dec. 19 – String Celebration: Fort Smith Symphony String Quartet.
Monday, Dec. 24 – Christmas Eve Serenade: Gary Hutchison, guitar.
Performances at Mercy Tower West
Tuesday, Dec. 11 – Guitar Greetings: Gary Hutchison.
Thursday, Dec. 13 – Christmas Clarinet: Andrew DeBoer.
Tuesday, Dec. 18 – O’ Holy Night: Karen Jeter, violin.
Thursday, Dec. 20 – String Celebration: Fort Smith Symphony String Quartet.
