Gun Violence Hits Hard

     On August 3 at 1:09 pm Patrick Crusius walked into a Walmart in El Paso, Texas with a WASR-10 rifle. Then, at 10:40 am, he opened fire in the Walmart parking lot and then in the store. He then drove to a nearby intersection where he was arrested. In the end, he shot and killed 22 people and injured 24.

     On August 4 at 1:05 am a man walked into the Dayton Ohio Oregon District with an AR-15 style gun and then took the first shot. In the next 32 seconds, he killed nine people and injured 27 more. One of those nine victims was his own sister. Police were able to respond in only 32 seconds and six police officers shot and killed him. This was the second mass shooting in 24 hours.

     Ever since these two shootings, the FBI has gotten over 30000 tips about possible violence and has arrested over two dozen people and has stopped many mass shootings.
