Amazon Catches Fire

Landon Harger

In early August the Amazon Rainforest caught on fire and has been burning ever since and it is only getting worse. Even though there are thousands of fires in the Amazon Rain forest every year this one is the worst out of all of them. This has already burned almost two miles of the forest and it will gradually get worse. It will also hurt global climate change and the emission from the carbon dioxide being released. If it burns at this rate the Amazon Rainforest will emit more carbon dioxide then anything else. Now there are millions going to help the Brazilians fight the fire. But they just don’t know if it was caused by a human or weather and drought.

Every day more people are joining and helping fight the fire and we can only hope we can stop the fire.
