The 2019 Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30. The areas covered include the Atlantic Ocean, Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea. We have had 13 storms and 5 major hurricanes. There had been some light hurricanes, but also some major hurricanes. When we think it’s coming to an end! Another one pops up. For example, we just had a hurricane a couple of weeks ago. This morning they found rotation on the coast of New England. If you don’t know what a hurricane is, it’s a tropical cyclone with maximum sustained winds of 74 mph (64 knots) or higher. Here is the list of hurricanes and tropical storms that have happened in the past months.

Hurricane Barry

July 11, 2019 – July 13, 2019 

Tropical Storm Chantal

August 20, 2019 –  August 23, 2019
