Wreaths across America

On Wednesday, December 5, the Service Squad of Ramsey took a field trip to the Fort Smith Convention Center to help assemble wreaths. Every year, hundreds of volunteers and students do the same. They take nearly 16,450 wreaths that have been in storage for the past year and fluff them and put a bow on them. Why do they do this? The wreaths are put on the headstones of deceased veterans at the Fort Smith National Cemetery every winter. It’s an event meant to honor our fallen soldiers. This Saturday, December 7, members of the community are welcome to come and help lay out these wreaths.
